If you are planning a trip to Warwick Castle in the heart of Warwick, Warwickshire, then you may be asking yourself about the car parking situation.
As I live in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, which is about 3 miles away, when we visited we used the car park within the Warwick Castle grounds.
The postcode for the main car park within the grounds is CV34 6AH which differs from the actual Castle postcode which is CV34 4QU.
There is more parking in Warwick but in my opinion you may as well pay the £6 and park in the grounds and take the 15 minute walk to the castle entrance. The entrance is located on Stratford Road in Warwick at the rear of the castle.
There is ample car parking on the field and it costs £6 (checked on their website August 2015).
The castle is a good 10-15 minutes walk from the car park, you walk through some nice woodland and past the glamping area, a nice walk to be fair but if you plan on having a picnic, I suggest leaving it in your car until you need it.
You are able to go back to the car park whenever you like though. We had our picnic next to the car after a few hours in the castle and then went back to visit the attractions afterwards.
Warwick Castle is a good day out but be aware the refreshments can be a bit pricey – but saying that they always are at tourist attractions.
Hope you find this info useful on where to park for Warwick Castle.
