This is a very current and recent review of the hotel for February 2016 so if you are thinking of booking the Premier Inn Liverpool Albert Dock then read on. This a genuine account of our stay at the Premier Inn.

We arrived in Liverpool on the Friday around 2pm (check in was 3pm) and parked in the largest car park called Liverpool One which is underground and has 24 hours access. The sat nav went awol coming into Liverpool as there is a large development underway so follow the brown signs to the Waterfront as this will take you to the Albert Dock area and car parks.

The Liverpool One (Q Park) car park is about 10 minutes to walk to the Premier Inn located in the Albert Dock area of Liverpool. There is parking in front of the Premier Inn but was full and was not 24 hours. Apparently you can get a discount from the Premier Inn at a nearby multi storey car park but we didn’t find this out until we were leaving so worth asking as you save £6 a day.

Checking in to the Premier Inn

When we arrived the hotel reception area was very busy and to be fair we were a bit early but we thought we would try to check in. After around 20 minutes we got to the reception desk and was greeted by a polite member of staff who did say we were a bit early but would see if we could check in still. She found two family rooms close together and checked us in. Very good we thought.

The member of staff was very friendly, polite, efficient and helpful. She explained that we could purchase breakfast and an evening meal and gave us the times that the bar was open. The bar opens at 5pm with happy hour 6pm-8pm, buy one drink get the same again free. The drinks are two for one basically. The bar and restaurant are on the floor 1.

Premier Inn Family Room

The room we stayed in was a family room and it was very nice indeed. Spacious enough for a king size double and single bed. The room was very clean and tidy and our view was of the Liverpool Wheel. The bathroom was big enough and very clean and the shower was very powerful and worth a mention to be fair!

Premier Inn Food

We had breakfast each morning in the Premier Inn and it is well worth the money. The breakfast is a buffet style including everything you would expect for a full English plus fruit, yoghurt, pancakes, pastries, fruit juices, a tea and coffee machine and cereals. The food was very hot and very nice indeed.

On the Saturday night we booked the evening meal and paid for their meal deal. For £23 you get a two course evening meal with a free drink and breakfast included for the following morning. Our party had steaks, the biggest burger ever and desserts. It was really good food and on par with any restaurant you would visit. We would totally recommend the food at the Premier Inn in Liverpool.

Premier Inn Location

The location of the Premier Inn Liverpool Albert Docks couldn’t be better for a weekend stay in Liverpool. It is right next door to the Beatles Story, right next to some really nice restaurants, opposite the Liverpool Wheel and in very close proximity to the Liverpool Museum. The town centre and big shopping area is over the road and easy to find and access.

Premier Inn Rating

So all in all, as a family staying over in Liverpool, we would totally recommend the Premier Inn at the Albert Docks with the main aspects being the lovely food, friendly staff and location. The only small niggle was we had to ask for another large towel, there were three of us in the room and we only had two on arrival. I thought this would have been obvious to have three already in the room but as soon as we asked we got one straightaway, no big drama just a small point.

I would rate the Premier Inn overall as 9/10 and we will certainly be staying there again soon.
